Role Overview
We are seeking a Bedrock Developer who will work closely with our Minecraft team to develop add-ons by creating and refining behavior packs. This includes adding new blocks, items, and entities and ensuring that all content is well-structured, optimized, and seamlessly integrated into the game.
Please note that we’re only looking for full-time employees (we are not considering contractors).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Minecraft Bedrock add-ons by creating and modifying behavior packs.
- Implement new blocks, items, and entities using JSON and Minecraft Scripting API.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth integration of custom content.
- Utilize Git for version control and team collaboration.
- Maintain well-structured and optimized pack files for performance and compatibility.
Required
- Strong experience with Node and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Proficiency in Git for version control and collaboration.
- Understanding of how behavior packs work within Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.
- Ability to create and modify blocks, items, and entity behavior using available components.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- 18+ years old.
- Residing in GMT or GMT+1 time zones.
Nice to Have Skills (Bonus, but not required)
- Familiarity with Minecraft command syntax.
- Experience with Molang for advanced entity behavior and animation.
- Knowledge of Bedrock Edition pack structures, including how entities, items, and blocks interact.
Helpful Software Experience (Not required, but a plus)
- Blockbench (for entity modelling).
- Snowstorm (for particle effects).
- Chunker (for world conversion and manipulation).
